This is a kitchen I built about 25 years ago, that got a makeover. Since the children have moved away, the customer wanted to open up the area to be better for entertaining.
The first step was to remove the tall cabinet that served as a china cabinet on one side and a wall oven on the other side. The uppers between the tall cabinet and outside wall were removed as well.
A new countertop was installed and new appliances bought, including a gas range with downdraft. Some of the removed cabinets were recycled into two small uppers, connected with shelves, on the outside wall.
The wood floors were refinished, further brightening up the area.
As of when these photos were taken, the door & drawer fronts hadn’t yet been sanded and refinished.
